New Line Haul Drive Radial From Hankook

Hankook Tire America says its next generation line-haul drive tire, the DL07, has an aggressive block pattern for superior traction and performance in all weather conditions. Advanced tread design and carcass construction provide for even wear patterns, equal weight/torque distribution, reduced heat buildup and increased fuel efficiency, according to the company. The DL07 uses wider, deeper, four channel zigzag grooves with enhanced stone ejector platforms to prevent stone drilling on the groove bottom and maximize removal mileage.

Available now in size 285/75R24.5 (14PR), the line-up is to include sizes 11R22.5, 11R24.5 and 295/75R22.5 by the third quarter of 2010.

Hankook Tire America said it is continuing to expand its footprint in the commercial tire market by introducing its next generation line-haul drive tire, the DL07, at the 2010 Mid-America Trucking Show.

Engineered with Hankook’s latest technology, the DL07 is developed with an aggressive block pattern and delivers superior traction and performance for line-haul applications in all weather conditions. Advanced tread design and carcass construction provide for even wear patterns, equal weight/torque distribution, reduced heat buildup and allow for increased fuel efficiency, according to the company.

Designed for line-haul vehicles, the DL07 uses wider and deeper, four channel zigzag grooves with enhanced stone ejector platforms to prevent stone drilling on the groove bottom and maximize removal mileage. This groove design also reduces stone retention while a new casing construction will deliver improved durability and retreadability.

“We recognize that in these tough economic times return-on-investment and cost-per-mile is crucial within the commercial tire industry,” said Brian Sheehey, director of commercial tires for Hankook. “The DL07 delivers exceptional value, increased fuel efficiency and next generation technology all backed by one of the industry’s best commercial tire warranties, with a price tag that’s lower than the competition.”

The new DL07 is also engineered with a high grip notch shoulder design, which prevents irregular heel and toe wear while enhancing traction. Improved wide and flat shoulder ribs will also guarantee longer mileage with even wear. Available now in size 285/75R24.5 (14PR), Hankook will be expanding the line-up to include sizes 11R22.5, 11R24.5 and 295/75R22.5 by the third quarter.

NRS Brakes Releases Brake Pads for Tesla 3

NRS Brakes says its galvanized backing plates ensure no rust or corrosion occurs from lack of use due to regen braking.

NRS Brakes has designed galvanized brake pads for the Tesla Model 3 specifically for electric/hybrid vehicle technology.

The company says (ADAS) vehicles demand a higher quality of all parts, especially safety items such as brakes.

As moisture creeps through the porous nature of the friction material, it is compromising the untreated backing plat, NRS Brakes says. Usually, moisture in the friction material is dissipated as heat is created through normal braking routines.
