Bridgestone to Expand Williamsburg, KY Firestone Plant

The company says Firestone Industrial Products is increasing capacity to support the demand for advanced air suspension technology in electric vehicles.

Bridgestone Americas announced it is expanding the company’s Williamsburg, Kentucky, air springs manufacturing plant. The expansion of the facility is expected to break ground the second quarter of this year and wrap up by the end of 2022.

The company says Firestone Industrial Products is increasing capacity to support the demand for advanced air suspension technology in electric vehicles.

The expansion will add 68,000 square feet of manufacturing space to accommodate new equipment. The expansion will also increase the workforce at the Williamsburg plant by 250 employees.
