OTC, an SPX brand, now offers a trilingual OBDII and CAN Scan Tool (P/N 3109) that delivers LIVE Data in English, Spanish, and French. It allows the user to view vehicle sensor, switch and relay inputs while the engine is running to help pinpoint problem components, the maker says.

The scan tool comes pre-loaded with more than 15,000 generic and manufacturer-specific code definitions for technicians who require quick review of trouble codes that caused the “check engine light” to illuminate. Compatible with all 1996 and newer vehicles, the tool’s intuitive menu makes it possible to display generic and enhanced definitions on screen, display freeze frame data at the time of the fault, as well as read and display all 9 modes of OBD II engine data. The device is also European On Board Diagnostics (EOBD) compatible.
