Fairfax-based Virginia Tire & Auto celebrated its 40th anniversary and the grand opening of its new Bristow location on Aug. 25, with special guest Mario Andretti and a day of food, entertainment and prizes.
During the event, racing legend and Firestone brand spokesman Mario Andretti visited hundreds of fans and signed autographs outside the new store.
The new location features 11 bays and Hunter Engineering Co.’s Quick Check system.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has named Ryan Waldron as president of the company's Americas business unit, reporting to Chief Executive Officer and President Mark Stewart. He succeeds Steven R. McClellan, who retired on April 1.
