Tyrexpo Asia Opens World Rubber Summit Debates to Attendees

Attendees to TyrexpoAsia 2009 will have the opportunity to join colleagues from the raw materials side of the industry to debate key elements of the International Rubber Study Group’s World Rubber Summit in Singapore next March.

The theme for the Summit has now been announced as ‘Global Demand and Supply: Facing the challenges in a rapidly changing world.’

Access to the Summit is a direct result of the collaboration between TyrexpoAsia and the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG), which will see delegates networking and participating in both events next year. IRSG draws its membership from 16 major rubber producing and consuming countries and the European Union, plus over 100 associate members from all kinds of rubber related companies around the world.

Paul Farrant of ECI International, the organiser of TyrexpoAsia, said: “Everyone involved in the global tyre industry is affected by the supply cycle of raw materials involved in tyre production. By linking with the IRSG we are able to provide our visitors with the opportunity to learn more about the issues involved in such a dynamic and fast-changing market.”

He also confirmed that more than 100,000 visitor tickets for next year’s exhibition are to be distributed worldwide over the next six months. The ticketing campaign will spearhead an international marketing drive to promote the event to industry buyers, investors and analysts in over 100 countries on a global basis.

The launch of the intensive campaign to attract trade visitors to Singapore kicks off as the confirmed number of exhibitors for the event passes the 100 mark, putting it on track to surpass the last show in 2007.

Belarusian tyre manufacturer Belshina, Deestone (Thailand), Luwa Air Engineering (Switzerland), Marangoni China, UK tyre distributor Tyreco and Protector Tyres (China) are among the latest well-known international names to have recently committed to the show. The comprehensive exhibitor list can be obtained from the ECI Web site.

Paul Farrant added: “The major difference between TyrexpoAsia and other tyre exhibitions in the region is that this show is truly international. This applies to both the exhibitor and visitor base. Our exhibitors are represented from over 40 countries and the 2007 show attracted visitors from over 80 countries, which makes the event a superb meeting point for the international industry in the widest sense.”

The IRSG World Rubber Summit will take place on Mar. 23-24 next year at the Singapore Expo Centre, while TyrexpoAsia runs from Mar. 24-26, at the same venue. (Tyres & Accessories/Staffordshire, U.K.)
