Handling advertising and marketing responsibilities in-house, Falken Tires has been recognized by two international organizations for its social media programs delivered through Facebook and for its magazine advertising campaigns.

Awarded two Gold Davey Awards for its Facebook presence, Falken was identified as having an “outstanding brand social page” as well as “outstanding community building and engagement.” Additionally, Falken received two Silver Daveys in the social media category as well as ten Silver Daveys for print ads targeted to both consumers and business customers. The Davey awards are judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 700-plus member organization of leading professionals within visual arts.

“To be selected from more than 3,000 entries from across the U.S. as well as internationally, this is a great honor,” said Darren Thomas, Falken’s Senior vice president of sales and marketing. “We are all proud of our marketing team for their tremendous efforts in promoting the Falken brand every day. The Davey Awards pays tribute to the finest creative from the best small shops, firms and companies worldwide, and Falken is delighted to be among those so recognized.”

In addition, Falken Tires was the recipient of a Silver trophy from the W^3 Awards, which celebrates digital excellence among media companies. Falken was recognized for its social media presence through its interactive Facebook page. W^3 is also sanctioned and judged by AVIA and focuses on websites, web marketing, video, mobile sites and apps and social content created by what W^3 considers to be “the best interactive agencies, designers and creators worldwide.”

U.S. Rep. John Joyce (R-PA) has introduced a bill (H.R. 1435) to protect Americans’ right to choose the technology that powers their motor vehicles.

The “Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act” was introduced in response to California’s plans to ban the sale of new gas- and diesel-powered cars and trucks in 2035 unless certain conditions are met, Joyce's office says. If approved, H.R 1435 would prevent the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from allowing California’s Zero Emissions Vehicle regulations that would ban the sale or use of new motor vehicles with internal combustion engines from taking effect.
