CEMB USA, a producer of wheel balancing and alignment equipment, has introduced a touchless wheel alignment system that uses 3-D imaging to measure alignment angles.

Called the ARGOS Wheel Alignment System, its vision scanners use 3-D imaging on all four wheels to measure toe, camber and thrust in five seconds without a technician having to have any contact with the vehicle. The systems uses no clamps, targets or electronics at the wheels and recalibrates itself automatically after the vehicle backs off the alignment rack.

The system, named after the mythological Greek god Argos with one-thousand eyes, can be managed through a remote control because of its automatic start of the measuring process when a vehicle enters the working area. it also automatically pre-selects the vehicle’s specs according to the wheel basis.

The system comes in three different models. To learn more about the ARGOS Wheel Alignment System, click here.

NRS Brakes has designed galvanized brake pads for the Tesla Model 3 specifically for electric/hybrid vehicle technology.

The company says (ADAS) vehicles demand a higher quality of all parts, especially safety items such as brakes.

As moisture creeps through the porous nature of the friction material, it is compromising the untreated backing plat, NRS Brakes says. Usually, moisture in the friction material is dissipated as heat is created through normal braking routines.
