Nokian Tyres Serves as Official Tire of Beaver Creek Ski World Cup Event

Nokian Tyres served as the official tire of the Xfinity Birds of Prey Audi FIS Ski World Cup event in Beaver Creek, Colorado.

It’s the first year the Scandinavian tire company has sponsored the event. The partnership is another step in Nokian Tyres’ quest to ex pand its presence in North America, the company says, where it recently completed construction of a state-of-the-art tire factory.

The weekend boasted an international roster of top athletes competing in Men’s Alpine Super G, Downhill and Giant Slalom competitions.

Nokian Tyres partners with ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains and beyond to teach guests about tire safety, host product launch events and provide unique giveaways that add value to guests’ mountain adventures, the company says. It also recently launched a campaign to inform consumers of its all-weather tires, which are suitable for year-round driving in areas that receive wintry weather, unlike all-season tires.

Nokian Tyres is nearing the start of commercial tire production at its new North American factory, which will annually produce millions of tires that are tailored the needs of drivers throughout the continent. GRI recently conducted programs in Sri Lanka to empower women and motivate children under its Green x Circle initiative. The company said these endeavors aimed to address the needs of the community, focusing on both women empowerment and youth motivation.

GRI recently organized a training program titled "Management of household finance under current economic conditions" at the Ingiriya Rubber Collecting Center in Sri Lanka, South Asia led by Shashika Nimali, an NLP practitioner and life coach. The company said this initiative provided women in the industry with essential skills and knowledge to effectively manage household finances. GRI's tailored training sessions equipped participants with tools for informed decision-making, ultimately fostering greater financial security and independence, the company said.
