Conti OE on Navistar Vehicles

Navistar Inc. has selected Continental Tire the Americas as the standard equipment provider for all of its vehicles for the next five years.

The two companies have signed a Letter of Intent for a five-year supply agreement where Continental tires will be OE on International brand medium-duty, severe service and heavy-duty trucks and all IC Bus brand school buses.

“Continental tires are well-regarded by customers in a wide range of applications and duty cycles throughout the commercial vehicle industry and we’re proud to make them the standard offering across our entire vehicle line-up,” said Bill Kozek, Navistar Truck and Parts president. “Continental offers a full range of durable, low rolling resistance tires that help drive fuel efficiency improvements and maximize uptime for our customers.”

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has named Ryan Waldron as president of the company's Americas business unit, reporting to Chief Executive Officer and President Mark Stewart. He succeeds Steven R. McClellan, who retired on April 1.
