Deputies in Baton Rouge, La., are searching for those responsible for a string of burglaries that resulted in more than $6,000 of stolen tires from a Penske Truck rental company during the past three months.
The first robbery took place during the night between May 13 and 14, with roughly $400 in tires stolen by an individual that drove off in a dark colored SUV, according to reports.
The second burglary happened during the night between Aug. 1 and 2. This robbery resulted in more than $5,000 in stolen tires and rims, picked up by a “newer model Ford truck pulling a utility trailer,” according to police reports.
The third burglary happened during the night between Aug. 7 and 8. This last time, a dark-colored truck drove off in a dark-colored truck with five tires worth more than $1,000.
Hicks said investigators do not know if any of the burglaries are related.
