Raybestos has released new air disc brake part numbers to cover more than 87 popular Class 7 and 8 truck, transit bus and school bus applications from major OEMs. According to Raybestos, the new products can easily tolerate the demands of higher speeds and increased horsepower of today’s heavy-duty vehicles and school buses. They also accommodate the shorter stopping distances required by current FMVSS 121 regulatory standards for Class 8 vehicles. Raybestos also released new low frequency dampers to combat unexplained moans, groans and squeals. According to the company, the dampers help reduce low frequency noise occurring in the rear calipers of many problem OE applications. The dampers are currently available for 13 platforms.
