Pirelli said it will capture the attention of the attendees at this year’s SEMA Show with an array exclusive vehicles, a demonstration of its “Green Performance” and special events featuring celebrities Chip Foose, Ken Block and Steve Saleen
The tiremaker said its Green Performance strategy is aimed at developing products and solutions that combine maximum performance and safety with respect for the environment. By 2012 40% of Pirelli tire production will be environmentally sustainable and its current crop of P Zero UHP and competition tires are leading the way with highly aromatic oil-free (HAOF) compounds proving that Green Performance is the fastest way ahead, the company said.
Pirelli’s Eco-Sustainability strategy resulted in its lowering of water consumption levels 12.7%, energy consumption 9.2%, and both its CO2 and NOx emissions by 8.9% and 14.9%, respectively, over the last four years, Pirelli said.
