Over 170 Exhibitors Confirmed for Automechanika Thailand

Automechanika Thailand, the leading international trade fair for the automotive parts, components and aftermarket industry in Thailand, opens next week from March 6-9 at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Centre, Bangkok.

This year’s event will be officiated by Chakramon Pasukvanich, permanent secretary for the ministry of industry. The presence of national government officials emphasizes the strong support the event has received from a number of organisations throughout Thailand and from around the world, mainly as it is being held in one of the fastest growing regions in the world for the automotive sector.

More than 170 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions have confirmed their participation, including Australia, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and the U.S. (Tyres & Accessories/Staffordshire, U.K.)

Yokohama Rubber holds groundbreaking for Mexico tire plant

The facility is set to begin production in early 2027 with a planned annual output of five million tires.

Yokohama Rubber held a groundbreaking event on April 15 for its new consumer and light truck tire plant at the Alianza Industrial Park in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. The company said the event was well attended by a crowd of state and local officials, as well as management from Yokohama companies, including YRC Chairman and CEO Masataka Yamishi; Yokohama Corporation North America (YCNA) CEO Shinichi Takimoto; and Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) President and CEO Jeff Barna.
