Tire marketer Omni United was recently presented with the Singapore 2013 Enterprise 50 Award, which recognizes local and privately-held companies that have contributed to economic development in Singapore and abroad.
The company, represented by G.S. Sareen, founder, CEO and president of Omni United, received the award from Singapore minister Tan Chuan-Jin. The award presentation and dinner were held at the Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre on Nov. 28.
The award program was jointly organized by the Business Times and KPMG, and supported by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, International Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Business Federation and SPRING Singapore, and sponsored by OCBC Bank.
"This is a great recognition of the overall performance of the company,” Sareen said. “I was told companies were judged based on their financials, profitability, growth, industry positioning, vision, human resource development and future prospects, so it was a very well rounded evaluation process. Having come to a level of 25 amongst the 50 best companies in Singapore is indeed an impressive achievement.”
