Nokian Adds Supplemental Warranty

Nokian Tyres Inc. is offering a supplemental warranty on a set of four Nokian eNTYRE 2.0 tires, purchased as a set after Oct. 1, 2015, for consumer use.

For eNTYRE 2.0 tires with a UTQG rating of 720/A/A, the warranty allows users to have their tires replaced at no charge if all four tires wear evenly across the tread down to the treadwear indicators during the first half of the treadwear warranty (0 to 40,000 miles).

If the tires wear the same way during the second half of the treadwear warranty (40,001 to 80,000 miles), treadwear warranty credit will be calculated on a pro rata basis, with the calculation based on miles driven and basis for credit starting at 40,001 miles.

For eNTYRE 2.0 tires with a UTQG rating of 580/A/A, the supplemental warranty can apply to sizes with lower treadwear warranty, including 205/50R17, 215/50R17, 225/50R17, 215/45R17, 225/45R17, 235/45R17, 235/50R18, 225/45R18, 235/45R18, 245/45R18, 225/40R18, and 245/40R18.

These tires will also be replaced at no charge for even wear down to the treadwear indicators during the first half of their treadwear warranty (30,001 to 60,000 miles).

The first 30,000 miles will not count toward the pro rata replacement cost if the tires tread wears evenly down to the treadwear indicators.

Only one set of tires originally purchased can be replaced by the supplemental warranty and online purchases are not eligible for the warranty.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has named Ryan Waldron as president of the company's Americas business unit, reporting to Chief Executive Officer and President Mark Stewart. He succeeds Steven R. McClellan, who retired on April 1.
