A stack of tires was set on fire near the back entrance of an auto sales business in Springfield, Mass., on the afternoon of June 8, said Dennis Leger, executive aide to the city’s Fire Commissioner Joseph Conant.
Leger said firefighters responded to the auto sales store just before 2 p.m. after receiving a report of illegal burning.
When they arrived, firefighters found a stack of tires near the rear door of the building lit on fire.
The case is still under investigation and any information about the incident should be reported to the Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad at (413) 787-6370.
