Denso Corp. has formed a new aftermarket division based at the company’s headquarters in Kariya, Japan.
"Creation of this new aftermarket business unit is a big step forward for Denso’s aftermarket operations, our objective is to expand and promote our aftermarket presence worldwide," said Toshiaki Fujii, head of the new Denso Aftermarket Business Unit. "This establishes a structure where the aftermarket is operated as an independent business entity apart from our OE business."
Currently the company has 30 aftermarket companies worldwide with 2010 sales of $4 billion. These companies’ efforts will now be coordinated under one division, creating synergies of resources and synchronization of strategy, Denso said.
