Han-Seob Lee was appointed CEO of Kumho Tire Co. effective immediately, Tyres & Accessories reports.
Former CEO, Chang-Kyu Kim, will remain as company president.
This appointment comes after Park Se-chang took over as CEO of Kumho Asiana Group, Kumho Tire’s parent company.
Lee was co-CEO of Kumho Tire for three days last year with Park Se-Chang, but stepped down after major creditors demanded the pair’s resignations.
Lee joined Kumho Tire in the late 1980s, the company said. He’s served as president of Kumho Tire Europe and Kumho China. Prior to his new position, Lee was responsible for Kumho’s global sales activities as chief sales officer.
