Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has released the Hercules Terra Trac AT II, a premium, all-terrain tire the company said offers “exceptional traction and wear resistance, a quiet, stable ride and an industry-leading limited warranty.”
The Terra Trac AT II, which replaces the Terra Trac A/T, offers 29% more sipes, 17% better tread wear, Hercules’ new silica-infused AT-C all-terrain compound, increased stability and an all-new aggressive tread and sidewall design, according to the tiremaker.
“The Terra Trac AT II isn’t just a better tire – it’s an all-new tire developed using everything we’ve learned in nearly 10 successful years with the Terra Trac A/T,” said Joshua Simpson, vice president of marketing. “The Hercules Terra Trac AT II gives our dealers an edge by enabling them to offer…a quality tire that offers enormous value and delivers security, longevity, control, quiet and stability.”
The tire offers several premium features, including: a new AT-C compound, more siping, tusk grooves, stone ejection features and extensive biting edges for traction; beveled and rounded tread blocks, a built-up buttress and deeper siping for even wear resistance; a tread design that breaks sound paths and spreads sound energy over a broad range of frequencies for noise reduction; and tied tread blocks, EKG siping and a mold profile shape that creates a more stable contact patch for greater stability.
The Terra Trac AT II is available in 46 SUV and LT sizes, bringing Hercules’ coverage of the premium, all-terrain replacement segment to nearly 90%, according to the company. All sizes offer a 60,000-mile limited mileage warranty, road hazard protection and Hercules’ 30-day “Trust Our Ride” test drive.
