Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc.’s Falken Tires brand will supply its Falken Ziex CT50 all-season performance crossover and SUV tire as original equipment for the 2016 Mazda CX-9.
“The Falken Ziex CT50 is our first fitment with Mazda for use on one of their global vehicle models,” said Rick Brennan, vice president of marketing for Falken Tires. “The high end, Mazda CX-9 is a great vehicle to showcase the Ziex CT50’s outstanding handling and drivability.”
The Ziex CT50 was developed specifically for North America and features a symmetric tread pattern and fine-tuned tire construction for a smooth and quiet ride, better fuel economy and all-season performance, the tiremaker said.
The Mazda CX-9 fitted with Ziex CT50 tires will be available summer 2016.
