The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has adjusted its countervailing duty calculations against OTR tires imported from India, according to a revised notice in the Federal Register.

After ATC Tire Private Ltd. petitioned the DOC alleging the agency made “ministerial errors” when calculating the duties, the DOC agreed and re-issued a countervailing duty against the tiremaker.

ATC’s duties dropped from 4.9% to 4.72%. Because of this decrease in duties, the rate for “All Others” was also reduced from 5.06% to 4.94%. The rate against Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) remained unchanged.
