Canadian Tire Appoints President of Retail Arm

(Akron/Tire Review) Mike Arnett has been named president of Canadian Tire Retail, a division of Canadian Tire Corp.

He replaces Mark Foote, who left Canadian Tire to join another company.

"Mike Arnett is a superb choice for the role of president,” said Wayne Sales, president and CEO of the parent company. "He is a highly experienced and accomplished retail leader with a distinguished track record of delivering successful high impact business initiatives. His appointment will provide for a seamless leadership transition, a continued focus on the execution of our strategic initiatives and a view to future growth opportunities."

Arnett joined Canadian Tire in 1990 after spending 11 years with Loblaw. Most recently, he served as vice president of new business development.
