James “Jim” DeMouy has been named vice president of Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) for Bridgestone Americas.
In his new role, DeMouy will provide EHSS strategic and operational leadership as well as lead and direct all EHSS-related activities for the Americas region, including manufacturing and retail locations overseas, the tiremaker said. He will also be accountable for the continued development and management of Bridgestone’s regulatory compliance programs.
Prior to joining Bridgestone, DeMouy served as vice president of Environmental Health Safety and Corporate Social Responsibility for Alstom Thermal Power and worked for General Electric (GE) as general manager of Environmental Health and Safety for Power Generation Services.
DeMouy has a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Louisiana State University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and a MBA in International Business from Florida State University.
