Bridgestone Americas and its customers helped raise $1 million for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) as part of the company’s national cause campaign, “Driving Great Futures.”
The donations from customers and the company to Bridgestone’s “Driving Great Futures” campaign will help BGCA support safe and productive programs for kids and teens at Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide.
The “Driving Great Futures” campaign also aligns with BGCA’s national “Great Futures Campaign,” which brings attention to kids facing crises and promotes the role of out-of-school time to reverse negative trends in areas with poor academic performance, obesity, drug use and youth-related violence.
Bridgestone launched its campaign on July 31, 2015, with all 2,200-plus Bridgestone owned retail stores participating – including Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, Hibdon Tires Plus and Wheel Works. To raise money for the campaign, the stores all sold $5 Value Books with tire and automotive service savings, and invited customers to round up to the nearest dollar at checkout, Bridgestone said.
