Auto Care Association Releases 2018 Industry Report

The automotive aftermarket continues to diversify and grow every year, according to the Auto Care Association’s 2018 Industry Report.

The automotive aftermarket continues to diversify and grow every year, according to the Auto Care Association’s 2018 Industry Report.

The report, “The State of Auto Care 2018: Your Industry, Your Association,” details covers the market, which represents $740 billion globally, with $381 billion in the U.S. alone.

The 55-page publication highlights change and growth in the industry while sharing the association’s programs, initiatives and solutions designed to address the industry issues.

Included in the report is a letter from Bill Hanvey, president and CEO of the Auto Care Association.

“There’s no doubt that together, we are a powerful driver to the U.S. and global economy,” said Hanvey, “But it is no surprise to anyone that our industry is changing, being transformed by technology, automation and new business models.”

The report takes a look at topics like advocacy, technology, and telematics. Also included is a section on market intelligence to share consumer insights as well as a professional development section to look at employment within the industry.

“Standing still isn’t a part of who we are,” said Hanvey. “Thanks for moving forward with us and helping drive our industry into the future.”
