ATS Tour Visiting Cinci

The Tire Industry Association will host a Certified Automotive Training Service (ATS) Instructor Class in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Oct. 6-9.

The Certified ATS Instructor Program is a four-day, in-depth and hands-on class that industry professionals must successfully complete in order to return to dealership(s) to train and prepare technicians for certification, TIA said.

Certified ATS includes safety guidelines and step-by-step procedures for all aspects of passenger and light truck tire service including wheel installation with the proper torque and tire repair. It also includes a full day of instruction on TPMS, so technicians have a thorough understanding of the requirements for the most popular domestic and import vehicles.

Classes will be conducted at the Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has named Ryan Waldron as president of the company's Americas business unit, reporting to Chief Executive Officer and President Mark Stewart. He succeeds Steven R. McClellan, who retired on April 1.
