On Sept. 22, Cary, N.C.-based Atlantic Tire & Service will be holding its second in a series of car care clinics for young drivers.
The clinic teaches teens and young drivers how to maintain their vehicle on a day-to-day basis and what to do in an emergency situation. Topics covered during the clinic include: how to make your car last longer, how and when to check fluids, the proper way to jump-start your battery, how to check air pressure and tread on your tires, how to change a tire and basic safe driving habits.
Atlantic Tire owner Anthony Blackman said that all attendees will receive a take-home bag that includes oil change coupons, digital tire pressure gauges and other gifts. Prize drawings offer an iPod and iTunes gift cards.
“It’s really critical for teens and young drivers to have the confidence and know-how to feel comfortable behind the wheel of their vehicles,” said Blackman. “We at Atlantic Tire are excited to present this opportunity to teen drivers because we know how important it is for teens to learn the basics early.”
