Schmatz has served the aftermarket in some capacity for more than 40 years. She started out at Babcox Media and quickly rose to become a vice president and publisher. During her time as Auto Care Association CEO, she became a nationally recognized industry advocate and a sought-after speaker and presenter, appearing on NBC’s “Today” Show, CNBC and in The New York Times.
