Alliance Adds Trio at Farm Progress Show

Alliance Tire Group unveiled the Galaxy Muddy Buddy, and the Alliance 354 and 354 Radial R1-W in increased flexion sizes, at this week's Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa.

Alliance Tire Group unveiled three new farm tires at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, this week.

New on the scene are the Galaxy Muddy Buddy, the Alliance 354 Radial R1-W in increased flexion size IF380/90R46, and the Alliance 354 in increased flexion size IF480/80R50.

“With bigger, faster equipment and increasing awareness of the damage that can be caused by soil compaction, we’re seeing a clear demand for increased flexion, or IF, tires across the country and around the world,” said Seth Walters, Alliance vice president of marketing and supply chain. “We’ve introduced the two sizes that can put the benefits of IF onto the greatest number of farms – the IF480/80R50 that fits the rear wheel position on a wide variety of high-horsepower tractors, and the IF380/90R46 row crop size that fits tractors and sprayers.”

The Alliance IF tires feature more lugs, oriented at a 45-degree angle, for “excellent field performance and great roadability,” the company claimed. The lugs are 20% deeper than standard R1 tread for traction and service life, and feature a “rugged compound that complements the durable nylon casing and rigid belts to create a tough, high-performance tire.”

The skid-steer Muddy Buddy has sharp shoulders that “provide extra grip in soft or slick conditions, and the shallow lug angle delivers better traction and more surface area,” Alliance said. “Deep tread and durable bead construction make the Muddy Buddy a rugged, long-lasting tool for farmers and ranchers.”
