Nokian CT Trailer Tire Gets Higher Load-Bearing Capacity

Nokian Tyres has updated its 600/55R26.5 CT agricultural trailer tire to handle heavier loads while still having a long service life.

The 600/55R26.5 size of the Nokian Tyres CT agricultural trailer tire has been updated to enable bigger loads and higher operating pressures, resulting in better operational efficiency, Nokian Tyres says. The updated tire can “handle heavy loads while being economical to use with a long service life,” says Tero Saari, product manager at Nokian Tyres.

The new version of the 600/55R26.5 size has been developed to “carry up to 6.5 tons on the top speed of 65 km/h,” Saari says. “On 50 km/h the load capacity is already 7.9 tons. This means that in a tandem axle configuration, you may be able to carry up to two cubic meters more soil or sand, for example.”

The tire will be available in North America in 2021, Nokian Tyres says.
