Double Coin Launches FT125+ Super Wide Trailer Tire

Double Coin and CMA has released the new FT125+ super wide trailer-position truck tire.

The FT125+ 445/50R22.5 20-ply super-wide tire contains groove bottom protection that resists stone penetration and a durable casing design, providing resistance to punctures, the company says.

“We have worked closely with an engineering group on developing the FT125+ super wide tire. After successfully completing road tests in the United States and Canada, we are thrilled to finally introduce it to the market. The tire is made using Double Coin’s superior compound, which will maximize performance by providing outstanding durability, and optimal fuel and weight savings. This tire is expected to perform well in a tanker truck trailer application,” said Tim Phillips, VP of marketing & operations for Double Coin/CMA.

Hino Trucks and Hino Canada have selected Hankook Tire TBR tires as OE for the U.S. and Canadian markets. The medium-duty truck maker will offer Hankook’s regional AH37 and long-haul DL11 tires on its L Series models.

"As Hino sets the global standard for trucking, it is an indication of Hankook’s leadership in TBR products that our tires will be offered on Hino’s L Series models in the U.S. and Canada,” said Haesik Lee, TB marketing director of Hankook Tire America. “Our AH37 regional-haul truck tire and DL11 regional long-haul truck tire have been built to meet the demands of the modern fleet, with durability, fuel efficiency and tread life at their core. We’re confident in the performance of these products to serve Hino’s U.S. and Canadian customers.”
