Hankook Tire Expands Volkswagen Partnership to Tiguan R-Line

Hankook Tire is now providing original fitment tires for the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line.

The Tiguan R-Line will be equipped with Hankook Tire’s Ventus S1 noble 2 (Pattern H452) in two sizes: 255/45R19H and 255/40R20V XL.

The Ventus S1 noble 2 is an all-season ultra-high performance tire known for its handling and low rolling resistance, Hankook says. It is also designed for increased fuel efficiency and reduced road noise. The tire provides improved riding comfort with its Hankook 3-D vibration control technology. The tiremaker says the tire is a popular choice for sports car enthusiasts.

The Tiguan is one of the most well-known Volkswagen models globally, Hankook says. The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line is the sport-look version of its latest vehicle, the second-generation Tiguan medium-sized SUV.

Hankook Tire and Volkswagen’s relationship dates back to 2001 when the company started to produce tires for the Jetta. The partnership continued providing OE tires for the Volkswagen Polo in 2003 and expanded to other popular Volkswagen models such as UP!, Beetle, Golf, Passat and many more.
