Yokohama Winter Tire Scores High on ADAC Tire Test

Yokohama Rubber Co.’s W*drive V905 winter tire has received high scores on winter tire tests conducted by Europe’s largest automobile club, Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club (ADAC).

The W*drive V905, sold primarily in Europe, placed in the top two of 19 recently tested tires. The tire also received the highest possible score for dry-road performance and an overall performance rating of “extremely well-balanced”.

ADAC tests were performed on the 205/55 R16 H size tires and examined the tires’ handling, safety and braking performance under wet, dry, snow and ice conditions. Noise, wear, and fuel consumption assessments under uniform conditions were also conducted.

The compound of the tire combines micro silica with Yokohama’s Orange Oil to enhance snow and water evacuation properties for gripping power.
