Retread Expo, New Orleans Agree to Six More Years

The inaugural North American Tire & Retread Expo is happening in New Orleans this week.

Show organizer Gustavo Lima, alongside First Deputy Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer Andy Kopplin, announced that the show has committed to a six-year deal to host the show in New Orleans. Lima made the announcement during the show’s ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday morning.

“The city is on a roll,” Kopplin said. “And you guys are helping us.”

According to show organizers, 112 exhibitors are in attendance at the North American Tire & Retread Expo. The show, which features industry speakers, training seminars, a tradeshow and conferences, ends Friday.

Goodyear names new Americas unit president

Ryan Waldron joined Goodyear in 2003, serving in leadership roles in finance and supply chain for multiple North America business areas.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has named Ryan Waldron as president of the company's Americas business unit, reporting to Chief Executive Officer and President Mark Stewart. He succeeds Steven R. McClellan, who retired on April 1.

"I am thrilled to announce him as president of Goodyear's Americas business and have enormous confidence that under his leadership, both the company and our customers will reach even greater levels of success."
