Bridgestone Americas’ Wilson, N.C., tire plant suffered its second fire in two weeks on July 5.
The fire broke out at approximately 6:15 p.m.
Bridgestone has said that there were no injuries related to the fire or procedures followed for its extinction.
The fire broke out in the plant’s mixing department, which is the same section of the plant that caught fire on June 28. In its statement, Bridgestone said that the damage appears to be isolated to the ventilation ducts.
Plant management is now working with the Wilson fire department and related authorities to determine the cause of the fire, according to Bridgestone.
