Yokohama Tire Corp. has launched the Y67 off-the-road line-up for underground mining applications.
“The Y67 was created for the smaller, low-seam category and provides outstanding durability,” said Tom Clauer, Yokohama corporate manager of commercial and OTR product planning. “This means customers can expect a longer service life with less downtime.”
Available in three new tread patterns, the Y67 features an advance tread composition that is cut and chip resistant and a non-directional tread design for traction on rocky underground surfaces, Yokohama said.
Additionally, the tire’s optimized rubber-to-void ratio helps provide better tread life and dual bead construction makes the use of a core optional, which reduces costs, and enhances high-pressure application performance, the tiremaker adds.
The Y67 is available in sizes 36×11-15 24-ply, 32×15-15 28-ply, 35×15-15 32-ply and 38×16-15 36-ply.
