Shops around the world have had to live with clamping tools that quickly wear out or get damaged easily.

But Vibration Solutions is looking to put a stop to that with the release of its SpeedPlate EBA, a wheel balancing clamping tool that retains its accuracy for the life of the balancing machine, the company says.

The SpeedPlate EBA works on a majority of vehicles from passenger cars to trucks that weigh up to one ton with 4-, 5-, 6- and 8-lug wheels. The tool has a step-free bolt pattern range between 95.25 mm and 180 mm to fit current and future bolt patterns. To use, technicians just rotate one of the gears and the others will follow suit. The company says that even if the operator has not adjusted for the perfect bolt pattern fit, the clamping tool will do so automatically.

The tool also features engineered break-away (EBA), which allows the SpeedPlate EBA to be dropped on a concrete floor without losing any of its balancing accuracy.
