Authorities in Van Buren, Ark. are investigating the theft of nearly $9,000 worth of tires from a local service station.
Police were called Tuesday to Farmers Cooperative Service Station in reference to 25 new truck tires stolen from a trailer, a police report states.
The owner told police the stolen items were all-terrain BF Goodrich tires. He purchased them at Southern Tire Mart in Fort Smith for $8,959.
They were put in the trailer on Oct. 30, and the owner is unsure of when the tires may have been stolen, the police report states.
There were numerous other kinds of new truck tires still left in the trailer located behind the service station, according to the report.
