Titan International is cutting additional jobs at its Freeport, Ill., tire plant. The tiremaker will cut roughly 25 maintenance and production jobs next week, according to reports.
This is the third round of cuts Titan has made at the plant this year. In August, the tiremaker cut 48 workers and in June, 36 employees were let go.
Titan sites the layoffs due to low agricultural commodity prices and declining farm equipment sales.
Deere & Co., the marker of John Deere products, also announced 600 layoffs at its factories due to the lack of demand.
