Police in two Oklahoma cities and one Arkansas city are working together to solve the theft of about $100,000 of wheels and tires from GMC dealerships.
According to NewsOn6.com, about $25,000 in wheels and tires was stolen from Harry Robinson Buick GMC in Fort Smith, Ark., on July 13. Thieves stole 24 wheels and tires valued at $30,000 from Broken Arrow’s Ferguson Buick GMC in Broken Arrow, Okla., two days later. On July 20, $40,000 worth of wheels and tires from 19 vehicles parked at Patriot GMC Hyundai in Bartlesville, Okla., were stolen.
NewsOn6.com reports that surveillance cameras in Fort Smith and Broken Arrow recorded the thieves in action. The Bartlesville dealership did not have security cameras.
In each of the three thefts, burglars left the vehicles sitting on cinder blocks.
