Michelin North America introduced its new agricultural tire for large combines and grain carts at the 2016 Commodity Classic in New Orleans.
The Michelin VF520/85R42 CFO 177A8 CerexBib is a Very High Flexion (VF) tire designed to handle heavy farm equipment with a greater ability to flex under increased loads. According to Michelin, the CerexBib is one of the first VF tires for today’s heavy harvesting equipment.
Additionally, the tire allows farmers to use a narrower tire to carry the load, making it better for on-road travel, and the tire is built with Michelin Ultraflex Technology, which allows the tire to operate at up to 40% lower air pressure. The tire also has a load capacity maximum of 21,960 pounds and features a 486-suare-inch footprint, the tiremaker said.
The CerexBib is available in the U.S. and Canada.
