The revolving door at Sears Holdings Corp.’s tire and auto service center unit just turned once again.
Norman Hill, hired just 16 months ago to lead Sears Automotive, left the struggling retailer in June, and was just replaced on a temporary basis by Sears CFO Brian Kaner.
Over the last two years, Sears has closed more than 100 of its tire and auto centers, and the unit is considered prime for sale.
Hill was hired in February 2014 to replace Joe Finney, the former Michelin North America executive who was hired to run the retail tire and service stores. Finney now Arrow Environmental Services and is a partner with Concentric Equity Partners.
Kaner came to Sears from Stanley Black & Decker, where he was president of its European security products unit.
