Wegmann Automotive Again Recognized by GM for Quality

Wegmann Automotive USA Inc. was recently honored with the General Motors 2018 Supplier Quality Excellence Award, the fifth year in row to receive the recognition.

Wegmann Automotive USA Inc. was recently honored with the General Motors 2018 Supplier Quality Excellence Award. General Motors began presenting this award five years ago to its top performing manufacturers and Wegmann Automotive has received the award all five years. Wegmann Automotive is a leading wheel balance weight OEM supplier in North America and the parent company of the Hofmann Power Weight and Perfect Equipment wheel weight brands.

“We are extremely pleased that we have continually been recognized as a strong, reliable and innovative business partner for GM. We will continue to deliver value to them, and all our customers, as a global leader in wheel balance weights,” said Jeff Waechter, president and CEO of Wegmann Automotive USA.

The Supplier Quality Excellence Award is only presented to the top manufacturers that meet GM’s strict quality criteria. Manufacturers are evaluated on more than 12 criteria including the timely delivery of high-quality products, smooth production processes and innovative strength. Eligible candidates must also have quality systems in accordance with standards such as IS0/TS16949 in place.
