Toyo Restructures Tire Sales and Development Departments

ToyoTiresWithDTP_colorToyo Tire & Rubber Co. announced a series of changes to its tire sales planning department and tire administration department. All changes to these departments will take place Nov. 1.

The tire product planning function of Toyo’s tire sales planning department will be transferred to Toyo’s tire administration department, which will be renamed the tire planning and administration department. Heading the newly named department as general manager will be Masayuki Kanai. Kanai formerly served as general manager of Toyo’s passenger car radial and light truck radial tire development department.

The passenger car radial and light truck radial tire development department will be reorganized into two departments: OE tire development department and replacement tire development department. Satoru Moriya has been named general manager of the OE tire development department, and Tamotsu Mizutani has been named general manager of the replacement tire development department.

The truck/bus radial and OTR tire development department will be renamed as the truck/bus tire development department. Hiroaki Sugimoto will continue to act as general manager of that department.

Toyo also announced two other organizational changes and one change in assignment for a Toyo corporate officer. Kasutoshi Ohishi has been promoted to general manager of Toyo’s tire technology development department and Masao Takiwaki has been hired as deputy general manager of Toyo’s CSR Center. Takashi Shimizu has been named corporate officer and general manager of the tire planning division. Formerly, he held the title general manager of the tire administration department.
