Toyo Announces Personnel and Organizational Changes

ToyoTiresWithDTP_colorToyo Tire & Rubber Co. President Takuji Yamamoto announced changes to its team of directors and corporate officers, including the appointment of Shinji Nakahara as president of Nitto Japan Co., effective Jan. 1, 2015.

Nakahara was promoted to the position of president from his former position as general manager, sales department of Northern Tohoku Region, Toyo Tire Japan Co.

Yamamoto also announced that Kazuyuki Ito, formerly in charge of Toyo’s Central Research Center and Production Engineering Center, will now oversee Toyo’s tire production division, Central Research Center and Toyo’s Technology Department of DT. Haruhiro Shinso, director, corporate officer and president of Wuxi Toyo-Meifeng Rubber Products Co., will relinquish his responsibilities as group executive officer, DT business, to Sadao Ichihara. Ichihara will also be promoted to senior corporate officer of Toyo’s DT business and general manager of Toyo’s chemical and industrial products business unit. Toshiaki Okazak will assist Ichihara as assistant to group executive officer, DT business, and be in charge of new business for the unit.

Takashi Shimizu has been named deputy general manager, administrative division.

Yamamoto also announced that Yasushi Takagi, general manager of OE sales division and general manager of OE sales department, will take on the role of corporate officer, effective Jan. 1, 2015.

According to Yamamoto, the tire logistics department, which was under the direct control of Toyo’s tire business group headquarters, will be transferred to Toyo’s tire planning division, tire business group headquarters. Tsuyoshi Tanaka has been named general manager of the tire logistics department.
