Kogel Sr. will remain with TWI in an unnamed capacity. He founded the business in 1970 and had been president for 36 years.
Kogel Jr., who will now oversee TWI’s day-to-day operations, joined the company in 2003 after serving as executive vice president of the Tire Industry Association. Most recently, Kogel Jr. was TWI’s director of marketing.
TWI has four warehouse locations in Troy, Southfield, Cadillac and Kalamazoo, Mich.
