Joining Tire Kingdom representatives for the presentation to SCHS auto shop and sports marketing students were Service Central Funny Car driver Johnny Gray, SC Top Fuel Dragster driver Dom Lagana and SC Pro Stock driver Shane Gray.
"We are thankful to have the opportunity to invest in the education of our youth as it lays the foundation for their career in the tire and automotive repair industry," said Bob Crostarosa, senior vice president of marketing, TBC Retail Group. "The show car is a great tool for these youth to learn hands-on automotive maintenance." Crostarosa also pointed out that the autographed hood from Jeff Burton’s #99 Exide car will make for a great auction item.
"Business partners are the backbone of career and technical educational programs. We appreciate the generosity of Tire Kingdom in providing a car for our automotive classes," said Lisa Conger, Cabarrus County Schools career and technical education director.
