Federated Insurance is offering TIA members a free webinar on hiring practices.
Entitled “Employment Insights – Hiring Practices,” the webinar will take place on Sept. 29 at 2:00 p.m. (EDT), be conducted by Enquiron as part of the Federated Employment Practices Network (FEPN), and cover the challenges and hidden dangers in the hiring process. The webinar will be lead by Robin Taylor Symons, co-managing partner of the Miami Gordon & Rees office and a member of the Labor and Employment, Insurance, and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups.
The webinar will focus on the application, interview and offer stages and provide tips based on developing trends, as well as the expected impact on hiring practices the overtime rule changes will have when it goes into effect Dec. 1, 2016.
Additionally, the webinar will explain the status and trends impacting background checks, MVRs and position or job descriptions, and what employers can do to refresh their procedures using already-available FEPN online resources, TIA said.
