Performance Plus Hosting Poker Run

Long Beach, Calif.-based Performance Plus Tire & Automotive Superstore is hosting its first Poker Run and After Party.

The event, scheduled for July 16, will support the dealership’s annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. This year is the 19th year the dealership has hosted the food drive.

Poker Run participants will be directed to different locations around town to pick up their cards and build their poker hand. Prizes will be awarded for the best hand.

Once the poke run is complete, the Performance Plus lot will be transformed into an after party featuring live steel drum music, a beer truck, BBQ and more.

Those wishing to participate in the Poker Run are asked to make a $20 donation. The after party is free and open to the public.

Yokohama Rubber holds groundbreaking for Mexico tire plant

The facility is set to begin production in early 2027 with a planned annual output of five million tires.

Yokohama Rubber held a groundbreaking event on April 15 for its new consumer and light truck tire plant at the Alianza Industrial Park in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. The company said the event was well attended by a crowd of state and local officials, as well as management from Yokohama companies, including YRC Chairman and CEO Masataka Yamishi; Yokohama Corporation North America (YCNA) CEO Shinichi Takimoto; and Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) President and CEO Jeff Barna.
