Official Comment From Point S on Benz Departure

The Point S operation in Germany has released an official statement broaching the subject of managing director Jurgen Benz’s unexpected departure from the company.

In the German-language document, Point S Deutschland GmbH says that on Dec. 7 the company’s board of shareholders met with Benz and agreed that the two parties’ ideas regarding future collaboration differ too greatly, and thus by mutual consent it will end on Dec. 31, 2011.

“The Point S Deutschland GmbH Board of Shareholders thanks Mr. Benz from the bottom of its heart for his outstanding work,” read the official statement. “Mr. Benz contributed significantly to Point S Deutschland’s emergence from early 2008 onwards from a difficult period and that it now is on course for success…likewise, he can also look back upon his very successful work within Point S Development, in which he took care of the Point S group’s internationalization.”

The statement continues that, “Mr. Benz thanks everyone that as a team shared this success.” Particular thanks went to his co-managing director in Germany, Rolf Körbler and co-managing directors at Point S Development, Christoph Rollet and operations director Fabien Bouquet. (Tyres & Accessories)
